Takeaway: Handsomely made, mostly metal, stand; fits all tablets, even smartphones.

The tablet stand is made of a durable aluminum alloy, though the kickstand is a thin plastic. The unit has rubberized surfaces for all parts that contact the desk as well as the points that come in contact with your tablet for firmer grip, slip resistance, and scratch protection. The stand can hold a tablet of any size or even your smart phone in landscape or portrait mode. However, you should only use this unit on a flat surface like a desk or table.

There are 7 individual tilt settings so you can find the viewing angle that is best for you. I did note that one odd thing is that there are a few ""positions"" for the kickstand past horizontal that aren't functional as a tablet stand, but it doesn't impact this unit's performance. I would have liked were the kickstand made of the same aluminum alloy as the rest of the unit because it seems like this piece could break easily, but as long as you handle the unit with care, it should work well and last for you.
