Takeaway: Nice and comfortable fit, soft, heavy, and warm fabric.

The shirt is made of a soft but thick cotton flannel material, and although it doesn't come with a material tag or wash/care instructions, you should be able to treat it like regular flannel. You'll want to check along the seams for loose threads as there were many on mine, but just give them a trim and you should be good. The buttons are only sewn on by two of the button holes, which to me doesn’t seem very secure, so I ended up sewing them through the other two holes. The inside seams appear to be done with a little better quality.

The small size and it fit me pretty well; for reference I’m 5’4” and weigh 120lbs. When buttoned up all the way the neck was very generous. I typically wear a 15-15 1/2 collar and this was very loose, but in a good way, since I don't anticipate wearing a tie with this shirt. The pocket on the front is nicely set at a 45 degree angle to the rest of the pattern, and the sleeve length and cuff size were just about right. The shirt did shrink a tad after the first wash/dry but it actually made it fit better on me. Overall, I’m happy with the look, feel, and fit of the shirt. The material is thick and warm enough for cool fall nights.
