Takeaway: Thin and lightweight, cool style, noisy buttons, detachable hood.

This review is for the size small. The style of this garment is like a denim vest with sweatshirt arms and hood. The denim used for the hoodie is fairly lightweight, a bit thinner than jeans would be made out of. The sweatshirt arms and hood are also made of a thin sweatshirt-like material and are soft and comfortable. The hood is detachable at the neck so you can use this as a light jacket without the hood, and it has metal pulls on the drawstring for the hood.

On the front chest there are two pockets but the openings are narrow and you won’t be able to get much in them except maybe pens. If you put something short inside like chapstick, it may be difficult to get back out of the pocket. The one feature that I’m not a fan of is the aluminum buttons. They look kind of cheap and are hollow so they rattle around a lot and are noisy. The fit of the hoodie isn’t too bad on me; I’m 5’4” and weigh 120 lbs. The hoodie portion is soft and comfortable and doesn’t feel overly bulky or heavy. The button holes that keep the hood on are little large and the hood tends to fall off occasionally so I tightened up the holes with a needle and thread. When used without the hood I felt the collar was a bit wide for keeping your neck warm; with the hood you can use it as a makeshift scarf. The hem comes to just below my belt line and there’s a little looseness in the sides, but it doesn’t feel baggy. The sleeves are the right length and cut off right at my wrists. This hoodie makes for a decent light jacket and nicely constructed overall. Note that the sweatshirt arms are no removable like the hood portion.
