Takeaway: Cool look but materials are inexpensive and noisy buttons detract from the style, sleeves are too tight.

This review is for the small size shirt. It has a military type look to it and features a banded collar, gold buttons and trim, epaulets, and 3/4 length sleeves. There are four pockets on this shirt: two at the breast and two at the waist. It’s worth noting that the buttons are made of lightweight plastic and are hollow and the gold cord trim is also made from a plastic cord making the whole garment appear costumish. That would have been forgivable if the buttons weren’t so loud. They rattle quite a lot like a tin a mints.

As far as the fit, the sleeves are quite narrow, and I have to unbutton them to get my arms through, otherwise I get stuck. Then afterward, I can’t get them buttons closed again, and I wouldn’t say I have huge biceps or forearms. So unless you’re super waify, you won’t be able to button the sleeves, which as expected, cutoff at the elbow since they are of abbreviated length. Other than the sleeve tightness issue, the shirt length seems to be slightly long, but that’s because it’s definitely supposed to be worn as outerwear as evidenced by the two pockets along the waist. If you tuck this garment in, the pockets will be tucked into your pants and unusable. It’s certainly got a unique style and is eye catching, but several elements of the shirt make it less than ideal. For what it’s worth, the shirt is comfortable to wear, but with a few tweaks it could have been so much better.
