Takeaway: Durable, lightweight enclosure, plug and play, works well with my SSD, medium read/write speeds.

The hard drive enclosure comes with a 17” microUSB-B to USB 3.0 cable, a pack of screws, and a mini screwdriver. The enclosure measures 4”L x 2.75”W x 1/2”H. The enclosure is made of a lightweight but durable aluminum alloy. The power port is microUSB-B and there is a blue indicator LED next to it. The bay is ejected by simply pressing on the end of it towards the back. Inside, mount a SATA3 HDD or SSD. I’m using mine with the Patriot Torch LE 120GB SSD as a backup drive. The drive simply slides into the bay and connects smoothly. Then you can secure the drive to the bay using the included screws and screwdriver. With the drive installed, the enclosure weighs just under 5 oz.

In my transfer speed tests I was about to get write speeds of about 29 MB/ sec and read speeds of up to 34 MB/sec. While this isn’t the fastest performance I’ve gotten out of a UBS 3.0 drive, it’s about 50% faster than my USB 2.0 hard drive. I'm basically just transferring files back and forth from this drive to my main hard drive. I'm not really any running programs off the drive or opening the files directly from it. The drive and enclosure work well for this purpose, and I’ve had no problems with it so far. It's lightly weight, compact, and travels well.
