Takeaway: Smooth sliding drawer, Easy to use, No locking feature, Occasionally jams if you move it around.

UPDATE: I used this cash drawer for a recent yard sale and found it a bit tricky. I wanted to use a bike lock through the two holes on the bottom to keep it secured to my table, but this wasn't effective because the lock cable kept interfering with the operation of the underside of the drawer slide. Occasionally the cashbox would jam, and I could open it. I think it's because the yard surface wasn't level and the drawer came off the roller hinges; also sometimes the bill keeper springs popped into the "up" position as I moved the box around. I had to stick a very thin screwdriver in and try to knock the bill keepers down to open the drawer. Also the change kept falling into the drawer cabinet when I picked the cashbox up to move it. I think these problems don't exist if the cashbox is left stationary on a flat surface.

The cashbox comes with a pair of keys and an RJ11 cable for connecting to a Point of Sale machine or receipt printer. The exterior is made of metal and the money tray inside is plastic. To open the cash drawer manually. Insert the key and turn to the left. It will slide open smoothly on a set of springs. The drawer is easy to close and to lock it, turn the key to the right and set the tumbler in the vertical position.

Inside the cash box, the plastic tray is divided into 5 bill trays, and 5 coin tray. The left side of the coin compartment lifts out to reveal an extra compartment and you can insert coupons and receipts into this compartment when the cash drawer is closed through the slot in the front. The removable coin tray also features adjustable sizes and these side panels can be moved or taken out completely to suit your needs. As I don't have a POS terminal, I did not test this feature.

Overall, the cashbox is nicely constructed, though only medium duty and there isn't a tab or hole for using a security cable to lock this to a fixture. In general it works well, but if you'll be moving it around, keep in mind it may jam occasionally.
