With this set of earplugs, you also get an aluminum hard-shell keychain case with a neckstrap inside. The earplugs stick into the silicone caps on the neckstrap, so you can hang these around your neck when not in use. The earplugs are easy to place in your ears. Just give them a firm press until they feel snug. They are triple flanged so potentially fit a number of differently sized ear canals from small to large. I typically use a small earbud with headphones and I found these earplugs to be comfortable to wear. When using the earplugs, sound is not completely silenced. Instead it is attenuated and brought down from high volumes to a comfortable listening volume. This is great for loud concerts where you still want to hear the music but not have ringing in your ears afterwards. The difference is very noticeable and when I used it at concert a few weeks ago I heard folks complaining afterwards that they couldn't hear anything, but thankfully I did not have the same problem since I used these earplugs. You likely won't be able to hear conversation that well unless the person is talking in your ear or shouting though. These were comfortable to wear for the 4 hours and are washable as well. I carry these on my keychain to have at all times in case we end up in loud spaces like a crowded bar with live music or sitting next to speakers in venues.
