Takeaway: Silky smooth, lightweight, comfy, quick drying and breathable; nice for workouts and sports.
The boxer briefs are made of 87.8% Tactel and 12.2% lycra, similar to athletic and activewear like yoga pants and biking shorts. It is a soft, silky, almost slippery material in feel and also super stretchy but sheer when stretched. Inside the crotch pouch is a second privacy layer made of soft, opaque cotton. The back of the boxers is flat with no contours and the waist band is a narrow 3/4" band that's a bit stiff and rubbery like a big rubber band but it is thin. The same elastic is found at the cuff of each leg.
I ordered the S size and found that it fits fine on my 28" waist. They look very much like cycling shorts in style but are cut a bit shorter and the material is thinner. As such they are pretty form fitting. The legs cutoff an inch below the crotch and are snug against the thigh. The waist band is comfortable and feels barely there because it is so narrow. There are no rough edges or scratchy seams anywhere on the garment. The material is soft, lightweight, and smooth against the skin with very little friction and heat generated during physical activity like working out. They also stay cool and dry more quickly than cotton boxers. However, because it is nylon based, you can't tumble dry, bleach or iron them. Overall, I like these briefs for their comfort, fit, and material properties.
