Takeaway: Smooth take-off and flight control, FPV via smartphone app, flies fast, but has low camera res.

There is some assembly that is required out of the box but it's pretty straight forward. Note that the battery charger will not show a light while charging and shows the light when the battery is fully charged. You'll also need 4 AA batteries in the back of the remote control (not included).

To use the WiFi camera remotely with your phone, download the Syma FVP app to your mobile device. It will pair to the drone via WiFi and you should be able to see what the drone camera sees. The green lights indicate the back of the drone while the red lights indicate the front.

The drone takes off pretty smoothly and is easy to control once you get the hang of it. It can achieve high speeds so take care not to let it get away from you too quickly. The range of the controller is long and you'll likely lose sight of the drone before it loses the connection with the controller. It's also capable of doing 3D flips. The camera footage doesn't have any sound and is low resolution at 2 MP. The colors are a bit washed out and the frame rate is low enough to look a bit choppy. The footage also was somewhat blurry and out of focus with low contrast and rapidly changing white balance. The camera quality aside, the drone itself functioned well and having the first person view from the camera on the phone was pretty cool. The battery runs for 10-15 minutes of flying time.
