Takeaway: Durable build, strong/long cable, convenient to not have to check the plug orientation. Works great so far.

The cable measures 6.5' long and has gold plated ends. The heavy braided cable is abrasion resistant and doesn't tangle easily while still remaining fairly flexible. The microUSB end of the cable is tapered on both sides and can be used in either orientation with any microUSB device. The USB-A end is also reversible and can be used in either orientation. Compared to a cheaper reversible cable that I have the build quality is certainly better and more durable. The floating contacts in the middle of the USB-A end of the cheaper cable are easily bent or pushed to one side. This makes it so that sometimes it doesn't change in one of the orientations. With the MicFlip, the middle pins are fixed firmly in place and can't be bent to one side. It consistently performs well successfully making the connections in either orientation when charging. I found the same to be true with the microUSB end.

The other thing that fell apart quickly with the cheaper cable is the aluminum shell on the plug. The MicFlip, however, after 6 months of use, hasn't had the same problem. Overall, the durability of this reversible cable is much better than cheaper alternatives that I've used. It's more reliable and works consistently with all of my microUSB devices for charging and data.
