Takeaway: Sharp blades, good variety of blades and handle types, handy storage case.

The knife set comes in a hardshell plastic carrying case. There's an assortment of blades and three different tool handles. The blades are stored in the upper portion of the case and held by a magnet. Each blade has a custom shape for its place in the case. The bottom half holds the three knives which have blades pre-installed. The first has a nice wide chunky plastic handle, like a screwdriver, and is for cutting heavyweight materials where you might need a little extra leverage like cardboard. The medium sized tool is made of aluminum and is about the thickness of a fountain pen. It's good for medium to heavy weight materials like thick card stock. The narrowest tool is this one that is ideal for lightweight and small materials and is most like an X-acto knife. This one works will for detail work and paper crafts. All of the tools use a metal collar nut to secure the blades which is easy to loosen and tighten. The different types of blades and their uses are described in the instruction manual which is well-written. Some blades are only to be used with the lightweight handle while others can be used with both the medium and heavyweight handles.

Overall, I found the blades to be sharp, the tools easy to use, and the blades simple to change. The handles feel lightweight and durable for long-term use. The only thing that I would change is that getting the lightweight tool out of the case is a bit hard to do if you don't remove the medium-weight tool first because it gets in the way. However, I do like that they snap back into the case and stay put.
