Takeaway: Fun, nerdy, durable coasters for science and wine enthusiasts.

These are coasters made to mimic the look of the boxes on the periodic table of elements. Instead of chemical molecule names, the names are wine are used complete with a fake abbreviation and cell number. It's the perfect novelty gift for your science and wine loving friends or yourself. At first glance the coasters look a bit grungy or even corroded, but the look of these is 'distressed' with gray/green moldy mottling and scratches that's actually smooth as part of he print. The top surface is made of metal and on the bottom you have about 1/16" of cork board. The cork helps the coaster be non-slip and is insulating for hot mugs to protect your furniture and surfaces. The coaster measures about 4" square. These coasters are fun and quirky providing a barrier against drips, small spills and condensation. The only improvement would be to add a lip around the edge as pooled condensation water has the potential to spill over if enough water collects on the non-absorbent surface or may spill when a coaster is moved or cleared away. Otherwise they perform adequately and are pretty cute.
