Takeaway: Decent, basic humidifier w/nightlight, also can diffuse essential oils/aromas, easy operation.

The humidifier is water drop shaped and measures 10” tall and has a base diameter of about 5". The entire unit is made of plastic, and the tank capacity is 3/4 gal or about 2.8 liters. The white section on top is the mist director which can turn 360 degrees to send the mist in whichever direction you need. The middle translucent section is the tank. The power cable on the unit is about 4’ long.

Inside the tank cap there's a built-in filter with ceramic beads that captures harmful bacteria and some sediments. The filter should be cleansed periodically by soaking in white vinegar for 10 minutes. When you fill the tank, leave some room at the top so you can screw the filter back on. There is a little section on the right hand side on the base near the bottom that is removable. Inside there’s a tiny sponge for you to add a few drops of essential oils to to diffuse aromas in the room. You should NOT add essential oils directly to the water or tank as this could damage the transducer that creates the mist.

The unit has a single analog dial for on/off control and mist level (low to high). When the unit is running, the LED light will be green. When it runs out of water, it will turn red. This humidifier also has an LED nightlight mode that makes the whole tank glow. Press the 'Light' button once to turn on the light in a kaleidoscope of fading rainbow colors. Press the button again to pause the light on the current color; subsequent presses will cycle through each color of which there are 7 and turns the light off as well. The indicator LED light cannot be switched off.

This unit has a pretty good tank capacity and on a 'medium' mist level runs about 6 hours. At the low setting, it can run all night and at high only a couple hours. The only thing I didn’t like was that the inside of the tank has a lot of small crevices which make it hard to clean. But as long as you change the water often and disinfect with vinegar once a week during use, you shouldn’t have any problems with mold or bacteria growth. Overall, this is a nice, basic humidifier with a nice light and option to diffuse aromas with essential oils as well.
