Takeaway: Heavy, thick curtains, blocks almost all light and moderates temperature on hot/cold days.

The blackout curtains come individually packed, so if you need two panels like I did, make sure to order a quantity of 2. My original curtains bleed a ton of light through them during the day so I wanted something heavier. The Fairlyland curtains are made with a smooth, soft, satin-feel fabric. It is very opaque and heavy. The navy blue color was darker than I expected. There are 8 metal grommets on top of the 52"W x 63"L panels. The grommets feel rigid and durable and don't bend under stress. The fabric is a thick, triple-layer polyester that's supposed to be hand washable but the tag is somewhat confusing. It states in words ""dry clean only"" but then the symbols indicate hand wash, NO dry clean, NO bleach, and NO tumble dry. So is it dry clean only or hand wash only?? It seems these are not machine washable in any event.

With these new curtains up, nearly no light gets through the curtain and they overlap nicely in the middle. The difference versus the old curtains is stark and it's nearly pitch black with just a little light bleeding around the edges. This is great for late risers and movie nights when you want to cut down as much ambient light as possible and lives up to the my expectations for blackout curtains. A little clarification from the vendor on how to clean/care for them would be great.
