Takeaway: Soft and cushy, easy to care for, absorbent and dries quickly.

The bath mat I received measures 19.5" x 31" so it's pretty close to the cm measurements on the tag but less than the stated inches in the listing which appear to be rounded up. However, it's still a decent size. The mat has soft microfiber polyps all over it and resembles a shag rag. It's made of 100% polyester and the pile is about 1" high at a density of about 9 "fingers" per square inch. On the back of the mat, the "new" version of this mat has a non-porous, TPR, waterproof rubber-layer that prevents water from seeping through and keeps the mat in place on your bathroom floor. The mat absorbs a decent amount of water when you stand on it after your shower or bath and it dries quickly. Since many folks have had issues with the mat being washed in the machine, I went ahead and put mine through to see how well the new version survives. I had it set on cold water in the gentle cycle, just in case. The mat came out of the wash okay with no visible damage to the backing. So far so good. I did not tumble dry it and instead hang dried it per the care instructions. Overall, it does a nice job keeping the floor of my bathroom dry and makes for a nice cushy surface to stand on while toweling off.
