Yinenn PEVA Shower Curtain Liner Review

Yinenn PEVA Shower Curtain Liner Review

Buy it at Amazon: Yinenn PEVA Shower Curtain Liner [Affiliate Link]

Takeaway: Impermeable, mold-resistant, and durable; includes stainless steel hanging rings.

You'll receive the shower curtain and a pack of 12 stainless steel curtain ring hangers. The curtain is made from 100% PEVA plastic, a kind of polyethylene vinyl. The listed size of it is 72" x 72" which is pretty accurate to the actual measurements. Along the top are 12 metal stainless steel grommets and at the bottom there are several small magnet weights to hold the curtain to your tub. The magnets are not so strong that they stick to each other.

The curtain hooks measure 2.5" long and have a 5 ball bearings that rotate freely, allowing you to slide the rings smoothly along your curtain rod. To open the ring, squeeze gently and move the inner bar out of the catch. These rings were easy to attach to my curtain rod, although I did need to stretch the opening a bit to get the ring onto the rod. The diameter of the top of the ring is 1.5" which should accommodate most shower curtain rods. Once attached to the rod the curtain slide smoothly along the rod without a problem, and because the rings are completely closed, the curtain can't fall off out of them nor will they accidentally dislodge from the rod. It has good strength too and won't tear easily even if you're a little rough when opening and closing the curtain. The magnets do indeed stick to a metal core tub to prevent water from spraying out.

The plastic material is pretty thick and durable with a clear, yet slightly opaque color. There's no plasticky smell from the curtain like a pure vinyl shower curtain might have. The curtain is slightly less flexible than I expected and the material is somewhat stiff in that it crinkles easily but the weights help pull and straighten it out. The thickness is about 6 mil, similar to the plastic sheeting used in hoop style greenhouses. The curtain is wide enough to provide full coverage of my tub and shower and doesn't let the water escape keeping my floors nice and dry. The PEVA material is water resistant, mold resistant, and completely impermeable, making it less likely to harbor any harmful bacteria that might grow in wet conditions. Water repels and drains down easily via gravity allowing it dry quickly and avoid mold growth, and it's also easily wiped clean with a sponge of damp cloth. Overall, this shower curtain liner has performed well within my expectations over the past month and so far hasn't ripped, torn, or gotten moldy. For increased privacy, use it with an external decorative shower curtain as a second layer that will hang outside of the tub.

Erock Luxury 10 Inch Rain Shower Head Review

Erock Luxury 10 Inch Rain Shower Head Review

Takeaway: Nice gentle spray, good flow with light pressure, easy to install, no leaks.

The 10" shower head actually measures out to 9.75" square. It is made entirely of metal and has a shiny chrome finish. There are 196 rubber nozzles spaced every 3/4" in a 14 x 14 grid. On the back, the rain head is flat and attached to a ball joint and there is a plastic cap protecting the connector when you first receive it. The cap is threaded, so simply unscrew it to open it up. Inside there is a rubber washer with a debris filter/screen already included.

Installation was quick and easy with a little bit of plumber's teflon tape (not included) and simple hand tightening. The water comes out of the jets with medium pressure and there were no leaks at the connection. For the most part, the jets are pointed straight down and not off to the sides at all, so the spray doesn't spread a whole lot. The 10" square area, however, is an adequate size for showering. The flow rate is somewhat faster than my previous shower head, so the water heats up faster which is nice. The water is also quite gentle, feeling like the water is being poured over you rather than stiff streams of water hitting you like pins and needles. Overall, this showerhead works well, was easy to install, and looks great in my bathroom.

EZGO Teeth Whitening Gel w/ Light Kit Review

EZGO Teeth Whitening Gel w/ Light Kit Review

Takeaway: Fast whitening, easy to follow instructions; some tooth sensitivity during and after use.

This kit comes with 4 syringes of whitening gel and applicator tips, a touch-up whitening pen, tooth color chart, a case with two teeth trays, and an LED light for activating the gel. At first glance, this system looks complicated, but it's actually not too difficult to use.

The first thing you'll want to do is open up the battery compartment of the LED light and take out the batteries to remove the plastic battery saver tab under them, otherwise you won't be able to turn on the light! Next, you'll shape the trays according to the directions. You basically dip them in hot water to soften them and then put them in your mouth real quick and suck the air out to create a "vacuum seal" against your teeth. As the tray cools, it'll harden into the exact shape of your teeth. Then just trim up the mold and you're ready to go with your custom fitted teeth trays.

You'll need to brush your teeth before AND after using the gel. You just squirt a little bit in towards the front of the trays, press them up against your teeth and shine the blue LED on them for 15 minutes. The instructions recommended leaving the trays in for up to an hour after the light activation, and I did this for anywhere between 30-60 minutes depending on my schedule. You should do this twice a day, but at least once a day during the course of treatment. Note that for some the peroxide in the gel can be irritating to your gums and you may feel a burning sensation or experience sensitive teeth when using the product. I experienced both and although mildly unpleasant, the discomfort for just 1 week was worth the results.

After a week of whitening, I used up about 2 syringes and my teeth improved an impressive 4 shades. My teeth were already pretty white to begin with since I've used whitening products in the past. These results come with a few considerations, though. When using the gel twice daily, I developed sensitivities to hot and cold liquids. This did go away after a few days after I stopped using the gel. You're also not supposed to have dark foods while using them like coffee, chocolate, and soy sauce. Overall though, I'm happy with the results and the whole process was pretty straight forward. Since I still have two syringes left and they can be stored for up to 2 years, I'll be able to use them again later if my teeth get stained again. If there's only minor staining, you can use included the touch up pen, just twist the top to dispense the gel, to quickly brighten your smile with a shorter touch up treatment.

Etekcity Glass Digital Body Weight Scale Review

Etekcity Glass Digital Body Weight Scale Review

Buy it at Amazon: Etekcity Glass Digital Body Weight Scale [Affiliate Link]

Takeaway: Consistent readings, though sometimes over, sometimes under.

The scale has a fairly small profile with an 11" square face and height of 1.25". It has 4 rubber non-slip feet on the bottom for stability on tile and wood floors. In general, you'll want to use this scale on hard, flat, and level surfaces. Before you use the scale, open the battery bay and remove the battery to take out the plastic battery saver tab. Inside the battery bay there's a switch to turn the scale off and change the units to kilograms or pounds. This glass scale looks nice and is fairly accurate in its measurements. It's very consistent and general gives the same reading over and over with the same object. That said, I benchmarked this against a different digital glass scale that I own and noticed that the weights don't always agree with each other, even when I swap them and place them in the exact same location. This scale tends to be a bit underweight when weighing light objects and overweight when weighing heavier objects. I used a number of free weights with predefined weights on them to determine this. E.g. 10 lb weight came in at 9.8 lb, 50 lb weight at 50.9 lbs and so on. The weight is never off by much and is within a couple pounds of actual weight. Most applications don't need very exact measurements and the scale is consistent across readings so for body weight, if you don't care that the scale is probably adding a pound or two the unit works fine.

.ORG NeverRust Shower Caddy Review (Zenna Home)

The Best Shower Caddy I've Ever Used

Buy it at Amazon: ZennaHome NeverRust Shower Caddy [Affiliate Link]

Takeaway: Easy to install, nice finish, won't rust, but shakes a bit and has low middle shelf.

The .ORG NeverRust Shower Caddy Review by Zenna Home is hands down the most durable and useful caddy I've ever used. The .ORG brand from Bed Bath & Beyond is identical to the Zenna Home one.

Pro tip: When installing the suction cups, I think you're supposed to put them on the bottom rack on the two lower sections, but the grout lines on my wall prevented me from doing so. Note that putting both suction cups in the middle of the bars allows the caddy to slide left and right so I recommend you choose two different racks and offset the cups to opposite sides for stabilization. Don't remove the plastic clip on the top! This will help the unit grip the shower head pipe. If your pipe's diameter isn't large enough and the top slides, try wrapping plumber's Teflon tape around the pipe. Also, if you don't have a horizontal section of your shower head, this hanging caddy probably isn't going to work for you. The recessed sections on the front of the top and middle shelf are built-in razor holders!
